AI is quickly becoming the forefront of our society and boards need trusted resources to guide them through as we navigate this new technology. I was tasked with designing the data visualization for the report in both we-native and PDF form.

Situation:

There is aneed for a web-native report and PDF report to satisfy SEO strategies and user preferences. Infographics in this report will be large and require to be tested for legibility in digital versions. Data visualizations are needed to enhance story and grab readers’ attention.

Task:

Four graphics must be designed both for digital and print forms while respecting the different ADA guidelines in both formats. It is also crucial that all designs can be used in press releases, social media strategy, and email marketing as AI is a huge pressing topic and marketing wishes to capitalize on this publication. 

Action:

All graphics are designed respecting ADA guidelines in Figma, then they are redesigned for a PDF version. Iconography is used to enhance visual consumption and all media is designed so that layers respect needs for visually impaired users. The graphics are then redesigned a final time for social media and other marketing collateral with motion graphics included. 

Resolution:

Infographics and data visualizations were designed for the digital and print version of the report, enhancing NACD’s digital & SEO strategy without sacrificing user preferences. Costs were also reduced as I served as an in-house designer, when NACD had previously contracted complex data visualizations out. Marketing strategy was enhanced by being able to push hot topic of Ai with visuals, this report saw a large amount of user engagement.
